"Internet Baseball Scorecard 2013" presents
Toronto: Happ (1-0, 0.00 ERA)
Kansas City: Mendoza (0-0, 1.50 ERA)
From Kauffman Stadium,
Kansas City, Missouri, United States
Friday, April 12, 2013
First Pitch: 8:10 pm est
Series Game 1 of 3
Season Game 10 of 162
Umpires:
Home - Tim Mcclelland
First Base - Jerry Meals
Second Base - Marvin Hudson
Third Base - Jordan Baker
* Top of 6th - Jose Reyes, while stealing second base, caught the spikes of his trailing left foot on the slide. As he lands, all his interia lands on the already turned-out-sideways ankle.
If it's a ligament injury it's those on the inside of his left ankle and up his inner leg. Hopefully it's a broken ankle ... a bad pull keeps him out for the rest of the year, and possibly more --- and may reduce his range and speed for the rest of his career.
Positive: The club is deep with infielders.
But that hurt - just what the club did not need right now.
Final in 9
Toronto Blue Jays: 8
Kansas City Royals: 4
